Persons who qualify for this service 

All births that are not registered within six months from the date of birth of such a child.

Requirements for Late registration of Birth Certificate

• Clinic/ Antenatal Register

• Religious certificate

• Parents’ Identity Cards

• Tangible evidence that the parent has never been married (affidavit/letter from chief)

• School leaving certificates/letters from school / Identity cards for adult applicants (over 18 years)

• Any other document as may be requested by the registrar

• Dully filled Late registration forms

Fee 

Late registration of Birth: Kshs. 500 (Additional fee of Kshs 200 for issuance of a certificate)
